Carla Stranger # 86 of 100
It is my pleasure to introduce you to Carla who I met while waiting to photograph the sunset at Magic Island in Honolulu, Hawaii. Carla was taking some pictures with her iPhone, I offered to take one for her so she would be in the picture, I took a few pictures, we started talking and that is how I met her. As we spoke and I learned more about Carla, my level of anxiety about getting a good portrait began to increase as I learned that she is a professional model who travels the world and she just finished her reign as Miss Ecuador International. Thank you Carla for agreeing to help me with my photography project. If you see the picture I hope you are pleased with it as I am sure you have quite a portfolio of professional shots. It was a pleasure meeting you and I wish you all the best with your modelling and other career aspirations we discussed.
I unfortunately did not have my Nikon equipment with me. I was using a Sony DSC-RX100M2 I just purchased before this trip and I am still learning to use it. With a little help from Photoshop I think I was able to overcome the mistakes I made with the Sony.
This picture is the 86th portrait in my efforts to complete the required 100 portraits for the portraits of strangers project to help improve my photography skills.
