The City of Santa Cruz city council will hear about KB Home's Branciforte Creek development ("the comfort of green living" in 2500 sq foot greenfield low density housing).
The plan was modified during the EIR process to increase required open space to protect spineflower along with riparian habitat along Branciforte Creek.
The development is along the west side of Market Street where it becomes Branciforte at Goss Street.
These photos show Market, Branciforte, Goss and Isbel streets near the proposed development. Plans show the addition of 5 foot bike lanes on both sides of Market south of Goss, though for northbound Market the bike lane becomes a right turn only lane.
Parallel parking will also be added to Market and B40 along the development -- presumably to benefit the residents.
