Waiting for the light

    Newer Older

Looooong light on southbound Rengstorff at Central Expressway in Mountain View, California. We waited for two trains to pass. Traffic is probably backed up behind me for at least a mile. I filtered to the front and moved into the left turn lane. Note that others wanting to turn left are blocked from moving into the turn lane by the median.

GREAT shot - you should post it over in Traffic Hell.

Thanks, fiend. Added. I probably have a few other shots that fit your group charter.

I recomend crossing Central at Shoreline so you don't need to wait for the train. There's also a bridge on Dana. I usually cross at Whisman.

I was headed to the Caltrain station on Castro so I had to cross the tracks anyway; it just becomes a matter of timing.

Traffic was backed up to Middlefield. I just measured the distance from there to Central is only half a mile, so I exaggerated a little. :-)

It's not too bad on a bike :-) Except for the part about the long light, of course....
