Batavus delivery bike

    Newer Older

Eric bought this Batavus delivery bike about a month ago from Hyland Family Cycles in San Jose. He says he absolutely loves the cargo capacity of this bike and it's now his main mode of transportation. He and his wife decided to see how much they could do without a car before he bought this bike.

Photos taken in Palo Alto near the California Avenue Caltrain station.

This is the first Batavus Delivery Bike I've seen in the wild. Other Batavus photos by me have been from bike shows. See:

      Whoa, that's stylish.

How does it ride? (Don't say "upright with the rubber side down")

Eric told me his previous bikes have all been road bikes. You can't go as fast on this (naturally) but he says the ride is comfortable and it just feels normal to go slowly on this bike.

I wouldn't leave that bike unlocked real good.
