Manic Monday

I was late to work this morning. *Two* fender benders on Highway 17 meant my bus was 20 minutes late getting to the Train Station, so I missed my train. I caught the 8:22 northbound, but then the train ahead of us (the one I was supposed to be on) hit a car that somebody left on the tracks. Nobody was in the car, but service up and down the line was halted for over an hour while Caltrain cleaned up the mess, and I'm sure things are still delayed.

I and several other cyclists abandoned the train in Mountain View, from where I rode the 10 miles to work. That's not really a big deal, but it would have been a lot faster if I brought a road bike instead of my mountain bike.

Hey, but check out the great shot you got!

Woaks, I wasn't aware Power Grips existed before about 10 years ago, though there were people experimenting with twist-on straps like the Power Grip in the 80s.

Glad you like the shot, Camera!

I remember them coming out when I first started mountain biking which would have been late 80s. I was using toe clips and straps and was tempted but never got them.

So what's the verdict on the Power Grips Richard?
    Useful or useless?
  • Richard Masoner / Cyclelicious 7y

Oh, absolutely useful, Coal. I love Power Grips.
