    Yeah, uncomfortably close to those cars. She knew I was taking her photo and before I knew it she scooted all the way over just for me. I wasn't expecting that. I think she did that because there was a whole line of traffic behind me that I was holding up.

    what do you mean "holding up"? Bicyclists go the average speed of traffic anyway.

    was the lane wide enough to share?

    Dolin was going maybe 5 mph and I was way out in the middle of the lane so I could get some photos, so yeah I was holding up traffic. I didn't mind so much but I guess Dolin cared.

    Average speed is maybe 15 mph here. San Fernando is plenty wide, but I was in the lane to get the photo.

    you're a vehicle on a road, so riding near the middle of the lane is the safest and best way to cycle (near obviously, not the middle).
