San Francisco bike lane and parallel parking

Newer Older

You'll notice that the bike lane is against the curb while the parallel parking spots are next to the traffic lane. I've never seen anybody actually park like they should along the Embarcadero here.

Jym, do you have some insight on this?

Hey that's my daily commute! It's kinda weird, but there's actually two bike lanes.

During commute hours, there's no parking allowed, and bikes ride in the inner lane.

During non-commute hours, cars are allowed to park, and bikes ride in the outer lane.

5-5, I like the idea of that bike lane, I just don't like that it's not properly used.
