  • My jacket, because the Systems Test lab is kept at about 50 degrees. And it's always windy in there.

  • I don't usually think of Apple as a server company. We have some of their old appliances which are really slick, and their recently announced Xserve servers look like quite a bit of bang for the buck and includes the features datacenter people look for, except they're limited to OS X. *shrug*

I just got into the office with my Sock Guy bicycle socks.

I like to ride my bicycle.

I wish it could be casual today. I have a big pile of absolutely critical things that must be completed.

Wow! A dream place to work, as I can see. And watching other photos of your collection, a dream place to live, plenty of bike commuters, bike paths, fixies everywhere...

You can have your bike in the office, wearing cycling shoes (and socks :) and short pants and work at Sun. Uhm, do you need a new sysadmin maybe? I promise improve my english... ;)

    Greetings from Spain.

At least half the people I work with speak English as a second (or third) language.

I said "to improve", not "to learn"... ;)

By the way, at least 95% people I work with (and maybe the rest) don't have a bike but one car (even two) and the only way to see people riding a bike to go to work is going to the cinema.

    You know, Spain is different.

In big swaths of North America, the 95% statistic also holds. Where I live south of San Francisco, about 80% of commuters come to work in the "single occupant vehicle." Maybe 10% carpool, 7% take public transportation, and the balance walk or bike to work.

There are more registered automobiles than there are drivers in the United States.
