It was all smiles, sunshine and squeals of fun as 36 noisy pre-schoolers swung into action to launch the £6 million Communities and Families Fund at the Reidvale Adventure Play Association in Dennistoun Glasgow today, May 22, 2012.

Not content with getting their faces painted and playing with balloons, the children from the Onslow Drive Nursery were on hand to show Scotland Committee Vice Chair Liz Cameron and Aileen Campbell, Minister for Children and Young People just how to steal the scene as they upstaged the grownups.

The Communities and Families Fund aims to improve the quality of life for children across the Scotland offering grassroots projects the chance to apply for funding of between £250 to £10,000. Projects funded will focus on improving early learning, health and wellbeing for children under eight years old by supporting them, their families and their communities.
