Junk electronics clock

I found this circuit board at Reverse Garbage, and they only wants 2 dollars for it. It's just 5 big 7 segment LEDs, with some current limiting resistors and a not too complicated matrix wiring. So I took it home, worked out how to drive it, hooked it up to a spare Arduino I had lying around, and wrote some really quick-and-dirty code to make it into a clock.

The girl is trying very hard to convince me that setting it up as a countdown timer and leaving it in a suitcase full of wires and batteries in some public place wouldn't be widely considered to be an "art project"... I guess she's probably right...
