Red Winged Blackbirds on Lily Pads

I love the Red Winged Blackbirds. The very first time I hear or saw one was in Presquile Provincial Park in Ontario. I heard the bird whistling high up in a tree and didn't know what it was. I strained my eyes for half an hour but couldn't see it among the branches. I gave up and just a short while later heard a cacophony of hundreds of his buddies singing among the bull rushes. I have seen them numerous times since but always enjoy watching them especially when landing. They look like large butterflies with their wings spread out.
