Jan and Franciszka Wilczek
Frank Wilczek's grandfather Jan Wilczek joined Haller's Army in 1919 and served with them as a private until 1920, fighting first in Galicia and later on the Russian front.
In 1935, back home in Port Washington, NY, Jan organized a local branch of SWAP, the Polish War Veterans in America, serving at various times as its president and its secretary. His wife Franciszka organized a ladies' auxillary chapter and also served as its president for some time.
I can't read Polish, but one of the officers from SWAP was kind enough to read this to me and to give me a copy.
