An intriguing but obscure shot (both literally and metaphorically). This might be a large family grouping: I can certainly identify my great-grandfather Reginald Wakeford, and I think I might see his brother Hillyard there too. But I'm not sure, and I don't recognise any of the others.
My great-grandfather was a master (later headmaster) of HMS Worcester, a school for naval cadets. So this might also be a group portrait connected with that, given the preponderance of naval uniforms. But I somehow doubt it, given the presence of the very elderly woman, and the clear family resemblance between her and the woman standing behind.
