To me there is an indescribable beauty written on the faces of those who have had a hard life and I'm always intrigued by the faces of the night. This man usually plays a guitar with a single string on it all day at an intersection near my house in Denver. He has the most amazing smile, and is always happily showing it. The other night he serenaded us outside a bar my buddy's band was playing at so I took the opportunity to get a portrait. I only had time for a single shot, glad it came out as I was shooting in near darkness on a dark street. 50mm Wide open (1.2) 1/40, 2000 ISO (unfortunately I was shooting so wide open that his nose and teeth are a bit OOF, I guess that is what you get for f/1.2).

Very nice capture. Shows a man with many struggles and hardship in life and yet is able to make us smile with his own smile.

These one-of-a kind candid portraits are phenomenal. I hear you about the f/1.2 f-stop, you have to be super precise on focus. I didn't see you camera listed (I using the Super Flicker app for iPad), but if it is a newer model, you could probably shoot up to 3200 ISO.
