To me there is an indescribable beauty written on the faces of those who have had a hard life and I'm always intrigued by the faces of the night. This man usually plays a guitar with a single string on it all day at an intersection near my house in Denver. He has the most amazing smile, and is always happily showing it. The other night he serenaded us outside a bar my buddy's band was playing at so I took the opportunity to get a portrait. I only had time for a single shot, glad it came out as I was shooting in near darkness on a dark street. 50mm Wide open (1.2) 1/40, 2000 ISO (unfortunately I was shooting so wide open that his nose and teeth are a bit OOF, I guess that is what you get for f/1.2).
contact me if you're interested in my shots (no digital version requests).
Check out my imagekind website if you would like to hang my prints on your wall (if there is something on my flickr site that is not on my imagekind site that you want, just let me know and I'll upload it)...
