To Infinity- and Beyond!!
Before I say anything about this shot, I want to direct your attention to something. My girlfriend Valorie just posted the first round of pictures from her series "Life in the Pacific Northwest."
It's all her ideas and I think you're just going to be progressively amazed as she proceeds through this ongoing series. Take a look and tell her what you think :-)
Here's some Jeep porn under the stars for you ;-) This is ONE exposure! No camera tricks here. Just alot of playing around with how long we kept the high beams and brake/interior lights on.
The graphic designer in me is drooling to put a Jeep logo and tagline into this picture! *ppssst* Jeep, you want to do a star campaign? ;-)
This was so much fun shooting. Jon and I drove Valorie's Jeep up to the top of the hill to get some star shots of the trees or surrounding area. We crawled the Jeep up the steep dirt road and hopped out looking for what we wanted to shoot. After I did a quick 360 scan of the area, my attention was drawn back to the Jeep and as I called out to Jon, "Hey Jon, I think I want to actually just do a shot of the Jeep up here!"- Jon was already setting up his camera and tripod to do the same thing! lol
So, earlier before, Valorie had told us to be careful with her Jeep and stay away from the edge of the dropoff. ... well... she was asleep in the tent down below, so she couldn't stop us! (insert evil laughter) Jon stood on the edge of the dropoff and helped guide me to inch the jeep as close as we could to the dropoff! *more laughing*
Made for a killer shot :-)
Jon got a crazy shot from this setup also. It's amazing to me how he got such a dynamically different image than I did and he was only 15 ft from me! check it out # here
