    Shame its gone! I used to drink there occasionally during the summer months. On the rear of the building facing towards the sea I believe there was a shipping navigational aid.

    Correct... A white diamond and illuminated at night. Remains of its bracket can be seen here, halfway up the wall on the right hand corner. One of only a few pubs to be shown on Admiralty navigation charts!

    It's demolition was a crime against architecture, and a big "fuck you" to the people of Cardiff, especially those with historic family connections to the docks.
