Rail for sale
I spent part of the past weekend "shopping" at the world's longest yard sale. It's an annual event, held during the first weekend in August, that stretches from Michigan to Alabama in the U.S. The people-watching part of it intrigues me more than the shopping part. Folks plan their vacations around this particular weekend: people rent RVs to go shopping from north-to-south and vice versa; they haul horse trailers (without the horses) behind their trucks, to load up that special find and/or junk to haul home. It is complete madness on Route 127, but also tons of fun.
I found these rail road signs sitting in the dirt at one of the yard sales. Would've been cool to have them, but the seller wanted $650 for the pair. I had to take a pass.
