Do you believe in change...?

Dear Flickr friends,

Do you believe in change?

I do….!

Do you believe in changemakers?

I’m one! ...Are you?

Society cannot significantly increase the proportion of adults who are, and know they are, changemakers and who have mastered the necessary and complex underlying social skills until it changes the way all young people live.

Many young people are privileged to make choices they feel comfortable with, but most are not. Around the world there are numerous NGOs striving to implement change for those less privileged in our global society, building attitudes that make local changemaking progressively easier and more respected. All of which eases the tasks facing the next generation of primary pattern-change entrepreneurs. CARF is one such NGO, where former street children from a decade ago now lead the way for social change in their own at-risk communities. But alone we are nothing. All NGOs depend on the support of a strong citizen sector.

Leading social entrepreneurs and local community changemakers are creating stronger networks, a driving force to move the world towards an “everyone a changemaker” future.

Flickr is also a network, a gigantic, virtual network stretching from one corner of the planet to the next, uniting an incredible number of potential changemakers who share their vision of the world through an equally incredible number of fabulous images; visions of change........

So what are you waiting for?
