Chair at Forest Haven
18 years after people leave the urban decay is well established. This was taken in the hospital. It's trashed and vandalized but in a strange way there's beauty among the decay. Peeling paint is a visual wonder-world of textures, lines and curves. Debris covers the floor in most rooms, often medical documents detail a history of sadness.
Forest Haven was a US govt. facility that served as a center for mentally retarded children. It closed in 91 following a series of lawsuits over conditions at the asylum.
