I've been wanting to learn how to take sunrise photos for a while. I had this great idea for the sun to rise right behind a church, but I set up a little too far to the right. I decided just to get the sunrise and see what I could do. I'm pleased with the technical results. In about an hour I learned the mechanics of how to take a photo of a sunrise. I think I captured the yellow/orange light of this morning pretty good. The street light poles, stoplights, and parking lot light standards are pretty distracting though. I definitely will try again and focus more on composition of the picture. Maybe the next one will be with some palm trees to frame the sun. There are a few man made lakes in the area, so maybe I can get a sunrise over water.
