265/366 - Gritty
I met this fella outside the library. When I asked him if I could take his photo, he said 'You won't be the first', and proceeded to tell me how a friend of his was a photographer, and had done a series of shots of him last year. It turns out he had been living rough at the time. A very friendly, interesting fella.
I wanted to try something different with the processing today. I decided not to go with black and white, but didn't think the fully saturated shot suited him. So I've gone for this approach, which I am going to call 'gritty'.
Also, I did have some photos where he was looking straight at me, and I know eye contact is supposed to be paramount, but I liked this one more.
