An absolute dream of a bike, and would be perfect for English country lanes. Youve given me some ideas!

      Thanks folks...
I was browsing the schwalbe-usa site and discovered they had the creme 50-622 fat franks in stock and immediately ordered them on impulse. So there they are. I'd say they run a little faster than the XRs on the pavement, and certainly lend a certain something to the overall look of the bike. This is a highspeed, singlespeed, commuter with singletrack capability and a retro English countryside aesthetic. I guess that's what I was going for...

Damn that's nice. I want a clear coat but the black is SOOO nice. Love the Paul brakes. Those creamy white tires are surprisingly hip too. Still have a bad case of the wants.

Beautiful! My cream tires were an impulse buy too. One of the better ones I've made lately.....

      beautiful bike...
what kind of stem is that?

    15. Bearded Peter 64 months ago | reply

Thanks everyone! @'Lovely bicycle', I'm honored to have this on your blog. It's absolutely OK. @'art209': That's a nitto (NOS) racing stem, 'reversible type'. They're a bit hard to come by. I found this one on line @ ben's cycle.
