Tomorrow is A-level results day & teachers all over the country will be sitting at home, like their students, biting their nails in nervous anticipation of what the next 24 hours will bring.
For the last year I have been teaching in a new place; my third teaching post in my career. I love this college and really want to stay there for a long time; I intend to grow my department, promote my course and inspire young minds.
I'd love to start a new course, and I won't get the green light on that until I can prove myself to my employer. I am looking forward to starting a new syllabus in September (one of many changes I've made as head of department in an effort to improve grades).
These things photographed have become essential tools in the preparation and delivery of my lessons. I pride myself on being able to contextualise all information for the learners, and that means research, research, research.
