Kittiwake waterfall

Across the harbor from Whittier, Alaska is a large Kittiwake colony. Kittiwakes are a small form of gull which we frequently saw during the trip. There are probably over 15,000 individuals in this colony. When they are disturbed they take flight. I would hate to be air traffic control for this bunch. Nevertheless, they don't seem to run into one another despite the close quarters or the proximity of the waterfalls.
