I heard Jacques say that he had cooked at Howard Johnsons Restaurants at one time. I've always wondered how they made their wonderful fried clams. Is hee a way to ask for that recipe? No matter where I order them, they never come out the way they did at the H.Johnson's---sweet and with a light crisp crust. Didn't feel or taste like the heavy bread crumb crust we got everywhere I ordered them.
