      Working on your reviews? Doesn't do me any good to proofread my own stuff. I have to have somebody else do it. I always read it the way it SHOULD be! I sometimes can't see my mistakes!

      EXACTLY my problem! (Actually, in this instance I was proofreading an interview i had just transcribed)

      me too - I can't seem to "see" my mistakes - my brain just misses it all!!
      We used to keep a file of the funniest typos (after blacking out names of course....) One of the favorites was an operative report that began:

      "The patient was prepped and raped in the usual manner..."

      What a difference one letter makes!
      (and by the way - KUDOS to you transcriptionists!! The way the doctors mumble and speed through their dictation - I could NEVER do it!!)
