Henty Dunes

    Newer Older

A mixture of mineral grains, deposited here over the last 10,000 years, has made these giant 30m high sand dunes. The dunes system is active, changing constantly as a result of wind, wave action, vegetation, and human impact.

Henty dunes are unique in Tasmania, and are of value to many differenct groups for varied reasons.
