2nd St. and Hill St., Los Angeles-Past and present

DA90027 was nice enough to let me use his photo to do a past and present comp.
This shot was taken looking north west.

gsjansen, pdbg, sds70, javazetti, and 10 other people added this photo to their favorites.

Thanks. It was interesting to see the intersection widened for the turning lane. That signal is great too huh?

Thanks GS. I was debating whether or not to use the sky from the original photo, or cut it off at the roof line to see the Walt Disney concert hall peeking over the roofs. That would be surreal huh?

      What do you guys think?

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called I Love LA, and we'd love to have this added to the group!

      great idea!

Holy crap! That's amazingly cool. It's exactly what I try to do in my mind's eye when I stand there. I mean, there are "then & now" books, and you can make a "rollover" thing on the internet -- but this is the first time I've seen this, exactly. I wish I was computer-savvy enough to steal your idea. Since I'm not, you must make more!

Thanks DLZ. I would do these all day if I had time. This one was fun. I'm taking requests if anyone wants to submit a photo.

Beautifully matched together. This is a nice way to do the then-and-now type of images.

Seen on your photo stream. (?)
