I took a bunch of photos of Clarion Alley, San Francisco over the weekend as a test to try out Photomatix Pro. Here is my first set of photos (more to come later.)
Capturing the wildly colorful art covering both sides of Clarion Alley can be challenging given the inconsistent and changing light, and my previous photos have rarely captured the feeling of being there. By using Photomatix tone mapping / #HDR I've attempted to capture the saturated colors of the alley by heightening the surrealism while still trying to stay--just barely--within the boundaries of naturalistic photography.
