Baker County Tourism – 4457

One of several museums in Baker County, the Baker Heritage Museum is housed in the historic 1920 Natatorium building and displays and interprets the rich history of this North East Oregon community with permanent displays and changing exhibits showcasing the area’s mining, timber, ranching, agriculture, and early Baker City life.

Two of the more unusual and fascinating exhibits include the 18-ton Cavin-Warfel collection of rocks, and fossils, and the Wally Byam –Airstream Exhibit celebrating Baker City native and creator of the Airstream trailer, Wally Byam.
