Malmö Canoe Club, founded in 1926, is southern Sweden's largest club with about 500 members. The facility consists of a main building at 511 square meters containing locker rooms with showers, sauna, gymnasium/assembly hall, fully equipped weight training room, clubroom, office, kitchen and technology areas and two additional buildings with a canoe hall with seating for 225 K-1s and a storage room with space for 14 K-2's and 3 K-4's and a workshop. The house has a large terrace covered with larch wood. The floor area is 876 square meters. The facility was inaugurated on 12 January 1996.
In 1998 the building received the Olympic Committee's Award - European Prize for Architecture of Sports Facilities.
