Apparently Christmas is more real when it's viewed in 3D. The glasses got passed around a fair bit so everyone could experience the amazing wonder of Christmas in RealD 3D.

I also look waaay too much like Elvis Costello.

that's a great article, i've been saying this very thing since day 1 of 3D TV. Don't need it, don't want it, don't want to sit around with glasses on my head. What if you have a superbowl party? Share glasses for the big game? No.

    Something 50's looking, but not EC.

    *hums a "Grease" medley*

    Poor Elvis doesn't seem very popular! I think it's just the big black glasses that got me thinking that way.
  • Daniel Hawley 5y

    You look adorable! I actually have met Elvis Costello before! Hmmm. Maybe a slight resemblence. :)
  • Randall Perry 5y

    Elvis! Elvis! Let me be! You keep that pelvis FAR from me!

    Waitaminute. Wrong Elvis. Carry on...!
  • joe469 5y

    Excuse my ignorance - but what do they do exactly?
  • bark 5y

    @paddington: HA let's hope you're right!

    @twoheadedmayhem: I think it'st he glasses, not the pouty lips.

    @mysterywalk: back to grease eh??

    @joe: they're the glasses you wear in the movie theatre to see stuff in 3D..I think these came from Avatar. They don't do anything when you just wear them, things look completely normal.

    Who loves you baby? Looking sharp and very Hollywood.

    I'm kind of agreeg with the elvis costelo tag. :D but were they worth it? All teh 3D i have seen has been pretty pi** poor :-/
  • archidave 5y

    sheesh. YOu can tell i'm not using my own computer. My typing is the shitest
  • joe469 5y

    Got it! Thanks!
  • bark 5y

    @xianjessen: HAHAHA! I'm going to spike my hair and find a pastel jacket!

    @archidave: there's a couple of really good 3D shows, where the 3D is just part of it and not the star. Pixar's UP is a great use of 3D and Avatar avoids the 'giant stick coming right at your eye OMG' cliche as well. 3D is here to stay...even if consumers don't want it.

    @paddington: HAHAHA

    @joe: canadian humour ;) hehe

    The future is so bright you gotta have 3D shades.
  • Randall Perry 5y

    What's that about a giant stick coming right at my eye? I DON'T do that on the first date, I'll have you know. I do it AFTER the first date. Like, five minutes after.

    La la la, giant stick, la la la, coming right at my eye, la la la, don't get it up your nose, la la la....
  • Mitch 5y

    Oooh, Laurie Anderson! Steve! Sing "Let X=X"!
  • bark 5y

    @miserablespice: everything is more real in the future!

    @mysterywalk: you should do it during the first date

    @bigmak: See we're in control

    Roy Orbison does the Monkey Kiss, LoL Clyde

    I think you're right about the 3D, it's here to stay for better or for worse.

    Anyway, I used your smil...well, puckering face on a page about 3D television. The photo credit links back to this page.

    Thanks for letting me use this photo.
