#16 -- Lena
Doesn't Lena look awesome? She was the first stranger who I really wasn't looking for; I was just finishing off a hot dog, sitting by the river, not thinking I'd see someone interesting among the usual tourist crowds. But then she walked past with her companion (I'm wary of using a more specific label, having learnt from Donna's example) and I dropped everything and jogged after them. She laughed in a mock exasperated way, telling me I'm not the first one to ask for a picture. I told her that if she goes out looking this good then it shouldn't come as a surprise ;) Apparently she received several random compliments as well. I myself love 50s and 60s inspired styling so I was very happy that she agreed to a picture :)
Still practicing manual focus at 75mm, f/2.8 -- no easy feat for me at least, but I've learned that I can't rely on my camera's focus points unless I want every single photo I take to have the subject's face dead centre so it's sharp enough... :(
Lena, thank you for taking part in the project, and if you ever want to do a 50s style photoshoot some time, you know how to contact me :)
