camels and tourists in Thar desert

    Newer Older

Going to the desert with a group of tourists sucks. If you are the only young man in the group, you get the bad a$$ camel. My camel was sick, in pain, and secreting green foamy stuff from his nose and mouth. Let's say he was not in the best mood to carry people on his back. I tried to be very still with the aim of making him forget that somebody was on his back. It worked, camels are not that smart after all. But once in a while I needed to adjust myself, as it was very uncomfortable up there. Each time I moved, the camel would stop and try to throw me down. At his 3rd attempt, I told the guides that I'd rather have a walk in the desert (see my steps).

Beautiful exposure throughout the photo, on the people, camels and sand! Also, great use of lines!

beautiful. nice to get the backstory, too - the footsteps immediately caught my interest. small point - i feel like it needs a tighter crop on the right to balance the fact that the leading figure at the front of the line is right up against the edge on the left

      Beautiful Shot !!! : seen in :
