When Sharks Fly In From The Lefty
So I fractured my arm in two places a couple of weeks ago. Wrist and elbow. Did that thing old people do, I fell down and stuck my arm out. I'm 6'5", and weigh closer to someone who's 6'12". That's a lot of downward force to slam onto my t-rex arm. I guess if there's such a thing as a "lucky break" this would be it though. The wrist fracture fragmented and floated away, and the crack on the radial (back on the elbow) is thin enough that I didn't need a splint or a cast. Just couldn't move it for a while, which cut into my weekly drawing regimen. Also played right into my fears of fucking up my drawing arm and not being able to draw.
So this here is the fruits of my fears: a completely left-handed drawing. It's clearly pretty squiggly, but I was relieved to see at least a glimpse of an ability not having to start completely from scratch.
Oh yeah, sharks flying, blah blah, humanity shocked, gentle giants, etc etc.
