Hiding in Plain Sight
A couple of days ago a friend and I went out to one of the local farms just outside town to pick up some fresh eggs and such. The last thing I imagined I'd be doing was feeding a less than one week old calf from a bottle! But that's exactly what happened. Sadly, this little guy was rejected my his mother shortly after birth, so the lady who owns the farm is hand feeding him. What an amazing experience it was to be up close and personal to this precious baby.
I snapped this pic just before she called him over for his bottle. As you can see, he was a bit wary of the strangers that had come to visit him. But once he saw that bottle, we were his new best friends. ;-) I am hopeful this little boy calf survives and grows up to be big and strong.
