I had a major whirlwind tour of creeks and waterfalls today. When I got up, the sky was perfectly clear, so I decided to go to my "secret" waterfall just north of Cullman....in the backwoods.
On my way there, I was traveling on Hwy 36 and crossed the bridge over Valhermosa Springs. I remember stopping here 2 years ago with FedoraDave. There wasn't any water in the creek at the time, but we said we would return. Today was that day. Okay, in all fairness to Dave....today was the day I returned. :-)
I'm glad I stopped because this place, as you can see, was beautiful.
After I left here, I went to "Bamawester Falls," the only one I feel I can name after myself because other than FedoraDave who was with me when I found it and my buddy Brian, no one on Flickr I've come across has been there. I've shot it a few times before and shots will follow.
Then I decided to make a day of it and went to Gadsden to Nocalula Falls. It was RAGING....and AWESOME! After getting some shots, I then decided to go see Little River Falls and DeSoto Falls. After seeing some great shots of them both from other NAPG members, I wanted to see them also RAGING!
For someone who likes to shoot waterfalls....it was a good day. :-)
