Midori Shocker

Newer Older

Strobist info - Glass sat on a black acrylic sheet lit from behind with a Canon 430EZ onto a screen with a snoot and a purple gel. Position of light adjusted to hit the bottom of the glass. Lit from the side through an umbrella using a Cobrea d650. I had to hold a blocker/flag up to prevent the purple colouring the surface of the midori, hence how dark it looks. Lightning added afterwards in PS.

Ref Note from Kirk - VERY WELL SPOTTED! That's the flag I was using to block the reflection of the backlight from the suface of the drink - which is why the drink is black. The flag was red!

Gorgeous! But really, what's with that little blotch of red sitting at the ring of the glass? It's a bit distracting from the rest of the shot. o:

WOW! I love that little lightning effect. I think you should organise a cocktail evening at BHCC :-)
