    Typical coastline view

    This was shot with my macro lens. i put the tripod really low and using the macro lens made the layers (the mountains, trees, and island) flat against each other. I think that really made this shot work so well. R Jones, and 4 other people added this photo to their favorites.

      Ah, so beautiful.... masterful control of all parts... the tiny figures on the far beach, the back-lit edge if the dark mountain form ... clouds above topping things off.. silvery grey tonality... even the mist behaves.. rising in a nebulous band....
