Crochet Umbrella - Granny Mosaic SUNbrella

I think Vogue's Special Crochet issue couldn't have been more special for me: with all the great patterns and amazing crochet Artists... There is a babukatorium-interview in it!!! I have to confess that it feels like winning the Oscar! XD

After pimping my ego enough let's get back to work:

My apologise for the quality of the pictures... I've been able to catch the last tiny ray of light before the whole week rain! Next week we'll try the modeled photos...

Granny Mosaic SUNbrella - reloaded in mini-me version.

I changed the shape from octagon to hexagon, flat desing to "dangerously" curved. I kept from the original version the granny squares, granny pentagons and granny right triangles (or half granny squares) and all the colors of the rainbow distibuted in swirl from burgundy to pink accross red, orange, sun yellow, yellow, neon green, grass green, teal, turquoise, blue, royal blue and purple. All bordered with black for the "stained glass-like" effect. Instead of the granny octagon this time the middle of the design is a granny hexagon. This one is made of sewing thread for being lighter... It's still not lace weight, but goes close. @;)

That's all folks! Hihi!
