Ok, you guys, some help needed here.
I have Vista on my new pc. I thought most things were running ok, then yesterday, I noticed a distinct color shift on my images displayed on the desktop and on Flickr/internet. Images viewed in Photoshop, Digital Photo Pro, Lightroom, Windows Photo Gallery, ALL are identical in color. There is a strong cyan cast on the desktop/Flickr/internet.
My monitor is calibrated correctly with a Spyder 2.2, my workflow is Adobe 1998 in my Canon 40d shooting RAW, then Photoshop etc, all as Adobe 1998, saved as Tiffs, except those destined for the web, when I save as jpeg /srgb.
When on xp, all my images matched up.
I have spent all afternoon on forums etc, to no avail.
I have checked out the color settings on vista color management also.
    HELP !!!!
PS, if you have vista, and your machine keeps dropping your color profile on start up, I KNOW the answer to that one !!!!
This shot was taken on my way to Sligachan, a real choccie box image !!! Taken mid morning when the light was like runny honey !!!

      Very nice shot, gorgeous light.

Not sure about your problem, it's sound to me that the monitor is having problems itself, did you try to connect it to another system to verify whether it's your computer messing up or the monitor itself ?

Ps I hate Vista ! I'm running the 64bit version on a fully 64bit Quad Core AMD processor with 4GB of ram and even with such powerful hardware it is slow as hell ( sometimes?) ..

Nope, not the monitor which works fine with xp on my old Dell PC, it is something to do with Nvidia, a known issue that nothing much is being done about apparently, according to the forums on the 'net !! I am assured that the colors I see in Photoshop are faithful to my calibration however. ( I have unchecked Nvidia in startup otherwise my calibration profile gets dumped ! Another known/unresolved issue !)
So much for Vista being best for graphics etc, ha ha !!
I have 32 bit, quad core, 4gig RAM, and Vista runs amazingly fast for me ! BUT it is very temperamental !
      Thanks anyway !!
