Wow, it has been a long holiday period, with a lot of unexpected visitors, a ceilidh or two, ( Hic ! never again, blah blah !!) and my other half not being very well, so my attentions have not been on Flickr for quite some time !! I have a mound of e-mails to answer, so please be patient, I will endeavour to catch up ASAP !!
We had a fabulous spell of frosty weather over the holiday period, unusually cold for the West Coast of Scotland. I revel in such conditions, far preferable any day to the normal wind and gales we endure here at this time of year ! I managed to get out on just a few of those days, for a few 'snapshots'. On this occasion, I had been at Sligachan, in deep shade, and very icy. I took my shots there, more of those later, then I dashed up the road knowing that the last of the sun would be hitting the Cuillins, viewed from Gesto.
This is the result. Liquid Gold light. The Isle of Skye, for me, is far more photogenic in Winter, when she permits the light to do its "thing " !!
( In plain English, that means when it darned well stops raining !! )
I also have a shot taken in Summer from here. ( see Highland Summer set for comparison.)
Hopefully we can all get back to a normal routine now ?! Phew !!!!!!!!!
