B-25 J from 4'o clock high
The B-25 J served with several Allied Air forces during the second World War. As the J version could carry up to 18 .50 calibre machine guns, it was the most heavily armed bomber of the entire war. It was also favoured for strafing attacks, carrying rockets along with up to 14 forward firing guns.
This particular build features retractable landing gear, it also balances on its gear completely.
Having seen Madphysicists recent P-61 Black Widow, I realised I hadn't built a bomber since summer 2009. The B-25 I built then wasn't bad, but I felt like having another go at it. I should go for a British aircraft next to avoid accusations of treachery...
