Hippodrome

At one end of the hippodrome, which lies next to the Blue Mosque (in the background), is an obelisk, called the Obelisk of Thutmose III. It was brought from Egypt in 390 AD by Theodosius the Great, and is carved in pink granite. Istanbul, Turkey.
