Puffin and Razorbills on South Stack, Anglesey

I have wanted to take a shot of a puffin for a long time now, after a bit of research I found that they can be seen at the far end of Anglesey from around April up until July. I have been a couple of times this year and not seen any, but I had been told this week that they had started to come. I drove the hour or so that it takes with great expectations about the shots I might get, on reflection I think I was aiming too high.

The puffins are around 60-70 meters away and with my longest lens being only 300mm shooting these little birds was difficult. This shot has been severely cropped to almost 100% making it the equivalent of a 1500mm lens.

Despite the distance they are great to go and look at and 'try' to get photos of. If anyone in the North Wales area has a 800mm lens they can lend me I would be very appreciative!

Thanks for looking
