I decided that I was going to take an early trip down to Penmon lighthouse on Anglesey today, especially as the clocks have gone back in the UK now for daylight savings. I woke up nice and early (6am) and persuaded the girlfriend to take a trip out with me.
As the sun was rising I was pulling into the car park, I got my camera bag out of the boot and before I knew it the clouds were blocking the orange glow, slightly dissapointing. I manged to get a couple of shots and here is one of them, in black and white as there it was a bit grey and the ND filter gives a bit of a purple cast, which is sometimes ok but can also look out of place.
While I was down there I saw Kristopher Williams (www.flickr.com/photos/jixxer) who got there slightly earlier than me but also missed the very brief sunrise glow, I recommend that anyone looking at my shot should take a look at his flickr page as he has an incredible set of photos.
The day wasn't a total waste as just before I was leaving I saw a seal 5 meters away swim past me, but at this point the camera was away.
