Canon FD 55mm f1.2 and Canon EF 50mm f1.8
So I currently have no camera after selling my 40D, Sigma 10-20mm, Sigma 24-70mm and Canon 55-250mm. All that remains are these two lenses, my EF 50mm f1.8 and my FD 55mm f1.2.
I have sold most of my gear to try and afford an upgrade... hopefully a 7D with 24-105mm and another lens that I cannot decide on yet. The reason for keeping these two lenses is pretty obvious to me, the f1.8 lens as it is cheap but good and I would not get much cash for it. The f1.2 because.... well its f1.2!
According to my calculations and a quick test with my camera, the f1.2 gets around 2.6x more light than the f1.8 and side by side you can see how.
I am sure that now I don't have a camera for the next couple of weeks there will be a lot of interesting things walk right past me that I would normally shoot..... I may just stay indoors to prevent this from happening :)
More shots with this old lens...
