Little Colorado River's Grand Falls in flood

The Little Colorado River of northern Arizona is an ephemeral stream. Flow in the river occurs most frequently during the spring to accommodate snow melt runoff, or during the summer monsoon season. In this view, the river is at flood stage and water is cascading over the falls.

From lower left to upper right, the view is from northwest to southeast.
