Awesome Calgary Presents: Cardboard Fort Day! in partnership with Calgary Mini Maker Faire
Our Awesome Calgary Presents: Cardboard Fort Day! in partnership with Calgary Mini Maker Faire event held at the Endeavor Arts & Event Space was inspired by the “Cardboard Fort Night” project that Sherwin Tjia in Toronto, ON pitched to Awesome Foundation Toronto in April 2011. He was awarded a $1,000 micro-grant by The Awesome Foundation to help fund an event where adults could gather and make cardboard forts together in his city.

Our "Cardboard Fort Day!" paid tribute to the original project funded by AF-Toronto, where cardboard aficionados of all ages could gather for an entire day and build the cardboard fort of their dreams (or help others to do likewise). This event was presented in partnership with Calgary Maker Faire, an annual, family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness where people show what they are making and what they are learning right here in Calgary.
