Spending long days in a tea house playing cards and staying out of the hot Sichuan sun is a great way to pass the time, if you like gambling all day, everyday. For some this is simply a way to relax from the harsh work in the fields, for others a way of making some extra money to make ends meet. This easy going way of life is what has made the Sichuan area famous for its easy going lifestyle.
Was time to break out the old Kodak again. For those who don’t know, this camera here is a old “folding pocket camera” (pockets must have been bigger back then because this thing is pretty big) circa 1907 which I modified to use 120 film. Using 100 speed film in low light conditions is not my idea of a good time so I used a tripod (one of the few times I do) and this time around I learned on a 6x15cm negative, f4.0 has razor thin focus.
